In the spirit of the romantic odes of Wordsworth, Shelley and Keats and drawing inspiration from the great Roman poet, Horace – whilst narrowly avoiding the poetic mishaps of Nausius from “Up Pompeii!” – here’s our Ode to Lingerie.
Oh to be ravishing, pleasing and dazzling
Oh to be gorgeous, splendiferous and glorious
Oh to be luscious, or sultry, a beaut!
A knock-out seductress,
Hot! Lovely and cute.
Now lingerie sure has a way to enhance
From balconette structures to fine satin pants,
And stockings with seemingly seamless demeanour
Plus brassieres in wet look – “who’s that girl? Have you seen her?!”
You truly can make hidden fantasies run free,
With a well-chosen corset, or thong, or chemise.
If it’s fishnet you fancy, or maybe some lace
Then my dear it is time to fancy lingerie embrace
This wonderful world of silk, satin, or mesh,
Can be teamed with your attitude to renew and refresh.
So why have a knicker drawer when you could have a whole room,
Just filled to the rafters with things to make swoon?
A desirous emporium in black, white or red,
Filled with babydolls and bustiers to really turn a head
And what could be better than time spent on you?
So embrace lovely lingerie and make those naughty dreams come true!
